You will need a 4 oz skein (100 g ball) of bulky (chunky) yarn in the main color and an oddment of light worsted (double knitting/8 ply) yarn in the contrast color, plus a size K / 10 ½ (6.5 mm) and G / 6 (4.25 mm) crochet hooks to complete this pattern.

Wish there had been more pictures of the difference in sizes. Overall it's ok even though I'm more of a visual learner.
I liked it, directions with guide made it a " for dummies" type experience- perfect for me!
I would recommend it.
And plan to try it again, maybe even convert to a sew version
